The company Buelens Paulina was originally founded by Bart Capelle, Marijs Boulogne, Manah Depauw and Vicky Vermoezen in 2002 as a non profit organization who would facilitate the administration for young theater makers. They collaborated all together in the creation of performances Endless Medication (2002), Hotel Zero Control (2003) and Good Habits (2004). Besides theatre performances, Marijs Boulogne and Manah Depauw created radio shows, broadcasted by FM Brussels and Radio Klara between 2002 and 2004 in collaboration with the Australian musician Jim Denley.
After 2005, Marijs Boulogne created various projects with video artist Julia Clever, and director of picture Hadewych Cocquyt, parallel, creating contexts for befriended improvisers; specifically the performance/installation cycle Excavations (2002-2007), The Anatomy Lesson – A Forensic Fairytale (2007), Marzipan or Plexi (2008/2009) and Who wants to be holy? (2012).
Recently Marijs Boulogne has been working with Simba Bafuka and BYWS vzw on the Lucha libre projects as general manager (since 2010 till 2022 and ungoing). With the vocal ensemble Ik Zeg Adieu she directed the musical comedy Midsummer daydream and Le Ballet des Vampires.
With her piano accordion, she is often performing together with Joke Van Leeuwen, in Belgium and Holland, as part of the Klimaatdichters.
